“Perhaps when we find ourselves wanting everything, it is because we are dangerously close to wanting nothing.” — Sylvia Plath
Which do you find more dangerous: wanting nothing, or wanting everything?
What would I prefer? wanting nothing? wanting everything? I don’t know if this is a tough question for others but for me it’s very simple to answer this. I choose wanting nothing. Yes, I said before that by having everything will make your life not worth to live because you have no purpose to live on when you are having everything. But having everything and wanting nothing are not the same. By having everything is by being comfortable of all the things you owned but by wanting nothing is like when you want to live a peace life in your own way.
Now let’s me talk about wanting everything and wanting nothing. By wanting everything makes me feel jealous of people having the particular items but I have none and I felt bad in really wanting something. So I think that by wanting everything will make you feel suffer with the thing you always wanted to have. By wanting nothing give you peace. This will make you satisfied in what you already have not want are you going to have. Many people are jealous and this jealousy create hates. People will hate someone when that person have something that you want but you didn’t own it. If you want nothing you will be in a peaceful mode, calm, and wise. It’s like a turtle in a river, very peaceful and calm swimming in the fresh river.
I think it’s doesn’t matter that we want nothing or want everything in the world. The thing that it’s really matter is how do we want it. How can we live with things we have. Sometimes jealousy creates hate but it depends on the people’s attitude because some might also change that jealousy into a motivation until they success in their life because of that jealousy. Everything depend on the person attitude and life style. Everything has 2 side just like the coin, If we walk on the right path we’ll be a righteous people but if we walk to a wrong path that will be a trouble.
